There are those that are more interested in you falling into their religious box then you having the full knowledge and understanding of Jesus. They’re more interested in you seeing things their way than God’s way. This is revealed in their arguments rather than prayers. They fight for their view to be seen, rather than trusting that God can open your eyes and reveal himself to you. They fight to prove their own insanity, rather than for your freedom. They cause more confusion within your soul than hope in a God that can lead you.

These people should be avoided. When someone is lead by the Spirit the fruits of the Spirit are seen in them. You witness love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. They will point to Jesus, not their perspective. They will leave you with a peace, a trust that only God can open your eyes. They understand that fighting is futile, and truth is revealed in those that God has chosen to reveal it to. There is a rest in their soul, not a restlessness.

Trust in the character of God. He’s never portrayed in scriptures as argumentative. Trust in the character and fruits of his Spirit revealed to us in scripture. We’ve been give them for a purpose. They reveal to us God’s nature, so that when false representatives show up we can confidently avoid, resist, and at times rebuke them in love…
